- Read 2 books of your choosing.
- Books should be minimum of 100 pages
- Pick titles appropriate for your reading level and age
- Utilize public libraries!
- If you need a place to start, see the lists below
- See "Responses" for the many choices to complete the 2 projects
you will do this summer
- Bring these projects to your technology or English class in September when Mrs. Johansen or Mrs. Krambeer asks for them.

- Keep a reading journal
- Write a letter to a character in the book
- Write a review of the book
- Keep a reading log for any reading you do all summer long! This option is for readers who are likely to exceed the expectation of reading 2 books - I look forward to seeing all the reading you do this summer.
- Participate with the Elgin Public Library Teen Advisory Committee (more details coming)
